How To Maintain An Inflatable Slide

I. Daily Use Maintenance

1. 1、Avoid contact with sharp objects: Prohibit placing the inflatable slide on grounds with gravel, glass shards, or metal debris; users must remove sharp items such as keys, knives, and jewelry before use, and refrain from wearing high-heeled shoes or slippers to prevent puncturing the slide surface.

   2、Control usage load: Do not exceed the maximum bearing capacity specified by the product (generally 1-2 children per square meter); avoid overcrowding or rough play (e.g., jumping from high places) to prevent structural damage.

   3、Protect against extreme weather: Do not use the slide in heavy rain, strong winds (above level 6), thunderstorms, or extreme high temperatures (above 35℃); move it to a shaded area during intense sun exposure to avoid material aging and fading.

   4、Regular inflation checks: During use, inspect the slide’s inflation status every 1-2 hours; if it feels soft, supplement inflation appropriately (maintain pressure at 0.03-0.05MPa) to ensure stability and safety.

II. Post-Use Cleaning & Drying

1. 1、Rinse thoroughly: After use, rinse the slide surface with clean water to remove dust, mud, or salt (for seawater use, rinse with fresh water to prevent corrosion); avoid using harsh chemicals such as bleach or disinfectants.

   2、Gentle cleaning: For stubborn stains, wipe with a soft cloth dipped in mild soapy water, then rinse with clean water immediately to prevent residue from damaging the coating.

   3、Fully dry: Place the slide in a well-ventilated, shaded area to air-dry completely (do not expose to direct sunlight); ensure no moisture remains inside or on the surface before deflation and storage to avoid mold growth.

III. Deflation & Storage Maintenance

       1、Proper deflation: Open all valves to deflate slowly; press the slide gently to expel air, avoiding forced squeezing or twisting which may damage seams.

1.  2、Fold carefully: Once fully deflated, fold the slide along the natural creases (do not fold sharply) into a compact size; avoid placing heavy objects on the folded slide to prevent permanent deformation.

    3、Storage conditions: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area (temperature 5-25℃, humidity ≤60%); keep away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, humidity, and chemical reagents (e.g.,  gasoline, disinfectants); use the dedicated storage bag to protect against dust and scratches.

IV. Regular Inspection & Repair

1.  1、Periodic checks: Every 1-3 months, inspect the slide for cracks, leaks, or loose seams (focus on high-wear areas such as the slide surface and valve connections); use soapy water to detect air leaks—bubbles indicate a leak point.

2.  2、Timely repair: For minor punctures or cracks, use the special repair kit (glue + patch) provided with the product:

• Clean and dry the leak area thoroughly;

• Apply a thin layer of glue to the patch and the leak surface, wait for 5-10 minutes until the glue becomes tacky;

• Paste the patch firmly, press it for ≥15 minutes, and allow it to cure for 24 hours before reuse.

3.  3、Valve maintenance: Regularly clean dust or debris from the valve core to ensure smooth inflation and deflation; if the valve is loose or leaking, tighten it or replace the sealing ring in time (contact the manufacturer for replacement parts if necessary).

V. Long-Term Storage Notes

• 1、If not used for more than 3 months, inflate the slide to 30%-50% of its full capacity every 1 month, then deflate and re-fold to prevent seam adhesion and material hardening.

  2、Avoid storing the slide in damp basements, stuffy cars, or areas with rodent infestations to prevent mold, mildew, or gnawing damage.
